Florentinian: Dreamt on a Train to Rome
I spent many hours creating this 3 Piece debut cut-and-sew collection from scratch. It was very insightful to work through all aspects of Product Development from garment construction to merchandising. As seen in the video below, due to there being 200+ buttons on the dress, you can button it in innovative, new ways to change the form. The overall idea of the collection is based on the American idealization of European culture that often ignores the dark aspects and focuses on fantasizing the great facets. As a fun fact, I actually did think of this collection on a train to Rome back in December of 2021. It was certainly not the easiest process, but, When I started sketching it out, I knew i needed to make it a reality.
